Jubilant music, innovative drama, and joyous palm waving will combine to commemorate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem this Sunday, March 31, at the moving 5:00 p.m. contemporary service at Christ Episcopal Church, Bethany. Patch readers are warmly invited to join parishioners on the memorable day which begins Holy Week and Jesus’ journey to the cross. Children are especially welcome.
The celebration will be enhanced by several guest musicians who will join the talented church music band and the enthusiastic congregation in songs of praise and worship. The talented performers include Michele Kinrade on the viola, Rick Kinrade on the bass, and Bill Fish playing percussion instruments.
The New Song Ensemble chorus from Old Saybrook will be singing a special offering song entitled "Love." The New Song Ensemble chorus exists to "share the Love of God with each other and with the community through music and the arts."
