Klarides Helps Commemorate Jewish Community Center's 100 Year History

State Rep. Themis Klarides visited the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Greater New Haven today to help commemorate the organization's 100th year of serving area children, families and seniors. Joined by State Sen. Joseph Crisco, Rep. Klarides presented a legislative citation to JCC leaders in honor of their efforts to improve the community.

Since its establishment in 1912, the JCC has evolved from being simply a religious entity to become a regional resource for fitness and health, education, arts and culture, and recreational programs for the people of Woodbridge and beyond. Rep. Klarides congratulated Shelley Gans, Director of the JCC, and Scott Cohen, Chief Operation Officer, who shared with her their plans to continue the organization's legacy of public service.
