Bethany Fire Department's Parade a Success
There's still time to sponsor a trophy, the parade chairman and BVFD Auxiliary say. They also wanted to share their thanks to all who made the Bethany Volunteer Fire Department parade a success.
Were you at the Bethany Fire Department's parade? What was your favorite sight to see?
Bethany Volunteer Fire Department Chairman Les Warner and BVFD Auxiliary member Ellie Miller wrote the following recap of the day:
The Bethany Volunteer Fire Department Annual Parade, held recently in conjunction with the Bethany Athletic Association Carnival, was a huge success and delighted the large crowd on hand for the event.

Fire departments from most of the surrounding towns and from as far away as Farmington and Morris participated, bringing over 200 firefighters, auxiliary, and 50 pieces of fire apparatus.
These departments competed for 15 trophies in various categories. Some of these trophies were donated by local businesses, organizations and individuals and we wish to publicly thank them for their generosity.

Trophies were donated this year by Mike Katzmark of Control Solutions, Ann Klatskin, Rich Cogill of Cora Pool Water Co. and Action Moving Co., Ron Zwick of Bear Hill Auto Electric in Bethany, Bob Marek & Sons Septic Service, and Dave Babbitz of Ginsberg and Babbitz.
We want to once again thank these benefactors of the Bethany Fire Department. It is still not too late to sponsor a trophy for this year’s parade.
Anyone wishing to donate a trophy is asked to call Parade Chairman Les Warner at 203-393-1964.
