It's 50 Years for Troop 63

A celebration brought out one of the troop's founders and its first Scout Master.

Boy Scout Troop 63 is 50 years old.

The Scouts celebrated Aug. 25 at Grassy Hill Lodge in Derby. At the celebration, Woodbridge First Selectman Ellen Scalettar presented a proclamation commemorating the Troop’s 50th Anniversary to Charles W. Whiting, one of the troop's founders and its first Scout Master.   

State Sen. Joseph Crisco Jr. also attended and presented a citation on behalf of the Connecticut General Assembly.
