Summer Fun: Day Camp is in Session [Photos]

Park and Rec's summer day camp is entering its third week of operation.

At , the Woodbridge Rec. Department’s Sumer Day Camp is wrapping up its second week. The camp is open to children ages six through thirteen.

Children are eligible to participate the program as long as they are entering first grade in the fall. Admissions are made on a rolling basis and campers from any town are invited to attend. A special needs consultant is available for campers who need extra modifications.  

Costs to attend the program vary based upon the level of commitment desired. One week at the camp can be purchased for one hundred dollars, while the full six weeks cost four hundred dollars. The camp agenda includes activities such as and crafts, drama, swimming,  traditional summer camp games and field trips.

The camp currently has 150 campers and is staffed by 75 counselors comprised of college graduates and current college students. The six week program, spanning from June 27 to August 5 runs from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. Options are available to extend the day beyond noon dismissal.
