Bethany Historical Society Lunch Tea & "They Called Me Lizzy"

The Bethany Historical Society presents an afternoon tea featuring  "They Called Me Lizzy," the East Haddam Stage Company's one-woman dramatic presentation of the life of Elizabeth Keckly, who rose from slavery to entrepreneurial freedom, ultimately becoming dressmaker to the President's wife, Mary Todd Lincoln.

Tea, sandwiches, and desserts will be served before the play. Doors open at noon. "They Called Me Lizzy" begins at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance by sending your check, payable to the BHS, Inc., to BHS, 512 Amity Road, Bethany CT 06524. Tickets will be waiting for you at the door.
