Bethany Economic Development Commission Event is This Afternoon
EDC seeks to build support network for all town businesses
The Bethany Economic Development Commission (EDC) is pleased to hold its first 'Bethany in Business: Meet, Mingle, and Learn' event for the owners and representatives of businesses that are located in Bethany.
This free event will be held at the beautiful Graduate Institute on Apr. 7 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bethany business leaders will meet and mingle while enjoying refreshments from local restaurants that will be provided by Laticrete International. The event will feature presentations on professional development, technical assistance, and lending programs that support business sustainability and growth. The speakers will be available for informal discussions with attendees after the presentation.
The Bethany EDC encourages all business leaders, even home-based 'solopreneurs' to attend this special event.
The mission of the Bethany EDC is to "promote the growth of existing and new businesses to maximize the potential employment, tax base, and quality of life in Bethany, where we choose to live and work." The members of the EDC want to encourage a vibrant business community by hosting events that introduce business leaders to government programs, business assistance and strategies that will strengthen and promote the growth and retention of their business in Bethany.
The EDC also intends to raise the visibility of the business community with initiatives that encourage citizens to 'Buy Bethany' as well as to facilitate commerce between Bethany businesses who may not know about the talent and expertise in their own backyard. The Bethany EDC meets monthly at the town hall to strategize. EDC members include Carol Cangiano, Tom Cavaliere, Charles Johnson, Steve Littman, and Chairman Elizabeth Appel.
Every business that is on record at the Bethany Town Hall will receive an invitation to attend the event by Mar. 30.
