Thai Stories tells a tasty tale.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Bethwood Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Craving exotic food but don't want to drive all the way into New Haven to get it? Easy! Thai Stories is located at 16 Seldon Street in Woodbridge, across the parking lot from Amity Family Bowl. The atmosphere is casual and simple, like most other Thai restaurants in the area. The service is efficient and unobtrusive and the seating comfortable, like most other Thai restaurants in the area. What makes Thai Stories so special? Two words . . . THE FOOD. It is spectacular.

Thai food is renowned for its elegant blend of flavors - spicy, sweet, salty, tangy - and we have yet to find a dish at Thai Stories that has disappointed us. Apparently, lots of other people agree as on a Friday or Saturday night there is often a short wait during peak dining hours. Don't let that dissuade you, the food is well worth it.

If you haven't yet planned your Super Bowl menu, take out from Thai Stories is an excellent option. Consider a selection of appetizers, such as the fresh spring rolls and Som Tam. And even for those of us at the far end of Bethany, it's only a hop, skip and a jump away!
