Lock, Stock & Barrel Nears Opening in Bethany
New feed and tack store will reportedly open before July 4.
A new "full line farm supply store" called Lock, Stock & Barrel is poised to open on Amity Road in the coming weeks.
"We will probably open between Memorial Day and July 4," reads a May 6 post on the store's Facebook page.
Lock, Stock & Barrel will carry animal feeds -- Purina being its flagship brand -- as well as power equipment such as lawnmowers, chainsaws and snowblowers; tack and other farm supplies. Some suppliers include Husqvarna, Tall Pines and Klacon, according to a post on the Facebook page.
The owners are Theron Simons of Naugatuck and Peter La Tronica of Woodbridge.
"You folks recognized a need in the community and are filling that need in a big way," commented one Facebook user.
Lock, Stock & Barrel did not immediately return a request for comment Thursday afternoon.
