John Wareck Elected Chairman of Commercial Investment Division, New Haven Board of Realtors

New Haven, CT - John Wareck, partner and broker of Real Living Wareck D’Ostilio was recently appointed to the Chairman’s position of the Commercial Investment Division of the New Haven Board of Realtors.

John Wareck has worked in the commercial real estate industry for almost two decades.

In 2005 he was awarded Business New Haven’s Rising Star award for his work on the Johnson Simons downtown revitalization project. Located on the corner of Church and Center streets, the 130-year-old Johnson and Simons buildings, two adjoining properties, were converted into 13 “Manhattan-style” lofts, ranging from 1,800 to 3,500 square feet.

In 2008 he was awarded The Charles L. Terrell Downtowner of the Year award by the Town Green District. John was instrumental in bringing Starbucks on Chapel Street to downtown New Haven. His most recent accomplishment was adding Panera Bread’s Bakery & Café, an innovative idea and 1st prototype for the company.

In November 2011, John collaborated with another well respected name in real estate, Frank D’Ostilio, Jr. to form Wareck D’Ostilio Real Estate. The following year, the company joined Real Living, one of the nation’s most innovative real estate franchises.
