Green Haven Approved

    On Wednesday night, Bethany Planning and Zoning approved the Green Haven Inc. application to develop the Rocky Corner cohousing community by a vote of 4 – 1.  Sal Amadeo voted to deny the application.  After the vote, members of the board congratulated the applicants for the quality of their application.  

     The meeting, which adjourned just after 9:30pm, marked the end of a very long journey for members of Green Haven Inc., one that began almost 2 years ago.  During that time, Planning and Zoning conducted 4 hearings with over 12 hours of public comment and extensive testimony from the Regional Water Authority, environmental, engineering and land use experts.  

     Rocky Corner is the first cohousing development in Connecticut.
