After Mark Porter gets out of jail, he'll have 20 years of a supervised release.

A federal judge in Bridgeport sentenced Mark Porter, 35, to 125 months in jail for accessing child pornography. He violated rules of his probation, which was also for possessing child porn. After his jail term he’ll be on a supervised release for 20 years.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on February 14, 2008, Porter was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Connecticut to 18 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for possession of child pornography.  He was released from prison and began serving his term of supervised release on July 30, 2009.

One of Porter’s conditions of supervised release was that his computer activity would be monitored by the U.S. Probation Office through the use of monitoring software installed on his computer.
