Bethany Offers Bevy of Summer Camps

With school out, Bethany has a variety of summer camps to keep the kids occupied.

After a long and dreary winter indoors, our local kids are more ready than ever for summer camp. Bethany’s camp runs in eight weeklong sessions that began on June 27 and run through August 19.  To accommodate working parents, campers may participate in a before-camp program from 8-9 a.m. and an after-camp program from 3- 5 p.m. at Bethany Town Hall.

Tot Camp, for children ages 3 – 5, is located at Bethany Community School for the first 7 sessions (and at the Town Hall for Session 8) from 9 a.m. until noon. Campers will participate in activities such as: arts and crafts, gym games, sport games, story time and playground activities. Special events are planned throughout the summer. Campers will have snack every day.

Youth Camp is for children who have completed K – 6th grade. Bethany’s youth camp is available as a morning session, an afternoon session or a full-day. Campers will participate in activities such as: arts and crafts, gym games, sport games, classic games, and hiking. Special events such as inflatable water slides, a theater show and Zoo Station are scheduled.
