Bethany Resident Power Nightmare Gets Another Look

The Hartford Courant investigates the situation, but is unable to hear the tapes that gave John Schurman a police record for 'threatening' CL&P.

The Hartford Courant and Fox 61 have picked up on a story covered by Bethwood Patch following the October snowstorm that left the Bethwood area without electricity for days. John Schurman of Bethany lost power early in the storm when a tree took down the power lines to his house. When CL&P workers (Oklahoma) reconnected the wires, they made a "rare mistake" that plunged the family into a long, terrifying nightmare that left Schurman with a police record.
