Economic Development Commission Event Draws More Than 50

Business owners, managers and town leaders flock to DCM's Bethany in Business meeting

The Graduate Institute on Amity Road was the place to be on Thursday afternoon when most every seat was filled at a gathering of Bethany business people organized by the Economic Development Commission. More than 50 people attended the free event to network and gnosh on food from Bethany vendors that was sponsored by Laticrete.A panel of speakers was kicked off by a welcome from First Selectman Derrylyn Gorski, who assured the attendees that Bethany was working hard to become more business-friendly, and that the town "treasures" the businesses that it has. While the speakers enjoyed the rapt attention of the audience, the attendees seemed most pleased by the ability to mingle with other Bethany business people and many lingered long after the program ended. The pictures tell the story - you will recognize many representatives of the Bethany business community, many of whom commented they were looking forward to the next event.
