Gathering of the Vibes Brings the Heat [Photos]

The annual summer festival is upon us for the rest of the weekend.

The 16th Gathering of the Vibes was a scorcher, with the heat index above 106 degrees at Seaside Park in Bridgeport. Despite the humidity, the thousands of revelers listening to bands at three different stages didn't seem to mind.

The music festival opened to the public on Friday with a headline performance by Furthur, a group comprised of the surviving members of the Grateful Dead. On Saturday, Jane's Addiction and Elvis Costello & The Imposters top the bill. On Sunday, the John Butler Trio will cap the weekend-long event.

Information about tickets can be found on the Vibes' website.
