Henry, a cruelly abandoned Chihuahua, seeks a second chance at life

DAC raising funds for dysplasia surgery so puppy can be adopted to a good home

Henry is a one-year-old Chihuahua who was abandoned on Rt. 63 in Bethany along with a black and white Chihuahua. The black and white was adopted quickly as he was perfectly healthy, but Henry is still at District Animal Control because he has hip dysplasia and will always limp unless he has a very expensive surgery.

According to Chief Animal Control Officer Paul Niedmann the surgery will be $1,800, more expensive than the ordinary dysplasia surgery, because of Henry's extremely small size. However, afterwards, the puppy will be able to move normally.
