The National Weather Service issued a high wind watch for New Haven County and a flood watch for Litchfield County, for Wednesday, Jan. 30.

In Middlebury, gusts could get as high as 60 mph but will mostly average 25 to 35 mph, the NWS reports.

A high wind watch is issued when gusts are predicted to blow faster than 58 mph.
