'Meet The Press' Today at Teddy B's

Bethwood Patch Editor Kathleen Schurman will hold “office hours” at Teddy B’s today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m

Do you have questions about the Bethwood Patch? Are you wondering how to post your own content? Think you want to claim your business directory listing but are not sure what the benefits are? Do you have a story you’d like to see covered? Or do you just want to say hello and have a cup of coffee with your local editor?

I’ll be at for two full hours today to tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Bethwood Patch but were afraid to ask. Or even answer questions about Petunia Buttercup, our very popular Locket’s Meadow kitchen pig.

I’ll be the one wearing the “Patch” hat and typing away on my laptop, making sure you get all the up-to-the minute news for the Bethwood area.

See you there between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.!

Great idea! Does Teddy B's have free wi-fi?

Can't make the meeting today but here are a few questions: 1) Can we get more local news about Bethany and Woodbridge? 2) Can we have fewer stories about your pig? 3) What happened to the hyper-local approach? (Too much regional coverage now) 4) What is the future of Patch? ( I hear that they may shut down the non-profitable ones.) Thanks

Answers: Jack: No WiFi at Teddy B's, but I have a Verizon card to get online. I will be alternating places in Bethany and Woodbridge - Teddy B's is kind of central, which is why I chose it for the first "office hours." Betsy - I don't think I've actually written about Petunia in about 4 months (and people ask for stories about her everywhere I go,) however, the column "All Glamour All the Time" is no longer on Bethwood Patch as of 2 weeks ago. As far as local coverage, I am a one-woman-show. I get to as many meetings as I possibly can ( often 3 to 4 nights every week) and write as much as possible about both towns. There is always more, I know, but every day there is least one or two stories about Bethwood. And the future of Patch? I am assuming it will continue to grow and prosper. There are always rumors about every business (yesterday I saw one about Facebook shutting down on March 15) but at Patch, it's business as usual. For any more information than that you would have to ask someone much higher on the food chain than I am!

Hi, this is Laura Torrence, thank you so much for posting the picture of Piglet! Your information was very helpful, my friends and family can never read enough about your piggies and all animal related stories. It was so nice to meet you Kathleen and your husband.

Thanks, Laura, and I am now madly in love with your Piglet!! He is an absolute doll. One day when the mini pigs start to need rescuing (they are still too trendy now for that) one will show up at my house, I am sure. Stop by Locket's Meadow and meet my babies one day soon!
