Woodbridge Police charged Michael McQuade, 24, of Naugatuck with evading responsibility, misuse of marker plates, driving without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle on June 14 at 3 a.m.
According to police, McQuade's car was in a one-car accident at the intersection of Rimmon and Peck Hill Roads and he attempted to drive away in his damaged vehicle.
He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is expected to appear in court on June 27.
