Pet of the Week: Holly

Each week, Bethwood Patch features a pet available for adoption through the Woodbridge Animal Control

Holly is an 80 lb. female adult German Shepherd dog who is looking for a loving family that she can spend the rest of her life with. Holly has had a gypsy life and has had a secession of owners who have fallen upon hard times and had to give her up.

According to the Woodbridge Animal Control Officers, Holly is very smart, very sweet and needs a stable home where she will get affection, food and a soft bed. In exchange, she will give unlimited love and devotion. She is a very nice dog.

The first step in adopting a friend through Woodbridge Animal Control is to fill out an application. The Animal Care Manager will work closely with perspective adopters to match the best pet to your family and lifestyle. The fee to adopt a dog or cat is $50, which includes a state voucher subsidizing the cost of spay/neuter & 2 vaccinations. If the pet is already altered, the fee is $5.

If you already have another dog, you are encouraged to bring him or her along so the animals may be introduced.

Please note, animals are not adopted on a first come, first serve basis. All adoptions are at the discretion of the Animal Control Officers.
