Play With Your Food Comes to Woodbridge

Play reading April 25 at the Thomas Darling House

If you're looking for something a little different to do for lunch next Wednesday afternoon, a local actress and playwright are hosting Play With Your Food, a popular Westport play-reading lunch event that's coming to Woodbridge.

"The series started in Westport about 10 years ago. It's a script-in-hand play reading," Joanna Keylock says. "I acted in a bunch of them in Fairfield and Greenwich and Westport and I thought it would be great to have some of them here in our neck of the woods," Keylock says.

Keylock is bringing the play reading to Woodbridge at the Thomas Darling House.

"I will be presenting the work of one local playwright named Susan Cinoman. Actor Jim Noble from TV's Benson will be performing along with several other fantastic actors," Keylock says. "The lunch is catered by Savour catering, we follow lunch with the reading of three one act plays and end the afternoon with a talk back session."

The event is Wednesday, April 25 from noon until 2 p.m. at the Thomas Darling House. Tickets are $30 and include lunch and a series of three play readings.

"It's really intimate. We have lunch in one room of the Thomas Darling House and then we'll come into the other room for the reading," she says. "It's a nice way to get out during the day and it's a really fun way to see some theater."
