Record High Temperatures in Connecticut

An unseasonably warm winter gives way to a record-breaking spring.

It was easy to notice that the weather on March 22 was fantastic, but did you know it was a record-breaking high across the state?

According to the Weather Without the Hype blog, the temperature Sikorsky Airport topped 83 degrees, the warmest weather for the date since 1948. Things were cooler in the northern part of the state, but still one for the record books. There was a reported high of 68 degrees. The previous high was 63 degrees in 2003.

The weather in the New Haven area is forecast to be less pleasant this weekend. There are showers expected on Saturday and Sunday, with temperatures in the 50s.
