Superintendents Tight-Lipped About Lost School Days

What will administrators do about the four days already lost to bad weather?

During the last week of August, it wasn’t an uncommon muttering: summer wasn’t long enough. In a classic case of ‘be careful what you wish for,’ students in the BOWA schools were granted an extra week of summer vacation.

With the debacle that last year’s snow days caused, parents are buzzing about what will happen to the end of the school year and to April vacation, which could be tapped if the schools run out of snow days.

Since nobody likes to start a new year in the red, superintendents will meet next week to discuss their options and attempt to coordinate a new schedule.
