Tech Glitch Delays Report Cards for Amity Students
Grades should be available in mid-July
Amity students and their parents waiting to see report cards for the 2011-12 school year are asked to be patient a little bit longer as a technical glitch in the grade reporting feature in iParent is remedied.
Amity High School Principal Charles Britton said in an email to parents and students that he expects the problem will be sorted out over the next couple of weeks and as soon as the issue is resolved, the grade reporting module will be reopened. Parents and students will be notified via email when grades are available. For seniors, final transcripts will be forwarded to all student-designated colleges and universities by August 1st and student-designated colleges and universities of the delay.
Amity switched from traditional paper report cards to an electronic grade reporting system last year. iPass, commonly referred to iStalker among parents, is a browser-based application that contains student schedules, attendance and discipline records, demographics and grades. Grades are typically available as soon as a teach posts them.
