Traffic Stops Lead to Arrests

Two men charged by Woodbridge Police

The following arrest information was provided by the . It does not indicate convictions.

Woodbridge Police charged Joseph Dangelo, 39, of Woodbridge with two counts of failure to appear and breech of peace Saturday, June 30th at 8:15 p.m.

According to police, Dangelo was stopped for having no front registration plate and was subsequently found to have outstanding charges against him. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond and was issued a ticket for having no license plate. He is due in court on July 17.

On June 25 at 10:50 p.m. Woodbridge Police charged Percell Boyd Hobby, 25, of New Haven with violating a criminal protective order after. According to police spokesman Bob Crowther, Hobby was in the back seat of a car with a woman he is prohibited from being with under a criminal protective order. He was arrested without incident and was released after posting a $2,000 bond. His court date was June 26.

On June 25 at 8:15 a.m., police charged Daniel James Ellis, 26, of Naugatuck with speeding, failure to carry insurance, operating with a suspended license and failure to appear in the second degree. Woodbridge Police also carried out an outstanding warrant by Orange Police against Ellis. That warrant was for failing to meet charges of operating under suspension, operating without insurance, following too closely and failure to appear.
