Woodbridge Seeks $150K From Former Golf Course Manager
Town officials say MDM Golf Enterprises stopped making payments last summer.
is hiring a lawyer to collect about $150,000 the town claims is owed by the former management company of the Country Club of Woodbridge in a dispute that forced the town to oversee the facility after negotiations reached an impasse.
According to the New Haven Register, Woodbridge Finance Director Anthony Genovese said MDM Golf Enterprises, which ran the golf course for two years after the town acquired it in 2009, stopped making payments midway through last summer.
In , town voters overwhelmingly turned down a proposal to develop 17 acres of the golf course for 55+ age-restricted condominiums.
