Yet One More Roof Problem

Credit union roof being evaluated for structural soundness in Woodbridge

Add one more Bethwood roof problem to the ever-growing list. The CSE (Connecticut State Employees) Credit Union on Litchfield Turnpike in Woodbridge has been closed for the morning pending further notice. Emergency workers are on site trying to determine what damage there may be.

According to Sue Lang, a credit union employee, when they arrived for work that morning the back door was iced shut. Upon further evaluation, the manager opted to be safe and called for help.

Assistant Fire Chief Sean Rowland said structural engineers would shortly begin to calculate whether the roof was able to hold the current weight of the ice and snow, and they would know before the end of the day what the situation was and whether or not the building will reopen.
