Harvest Dance and Cookout!

If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend look no further! Bodhichitta Farms CSA is having a Harvest Dance and Cookout Fundraiser! This Sunday, November 4, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 312 Litchfield Turnpike in Bethany. You can bring your whole family!

There will be an epic feast! Fresh local veggies, lobster, steak, wine, beer, and desserts. We will also have tastings from Cato Corner cheese and Old Burnside Brewery Ten Penny Ale. You won't want to miss this spread. The Caporaso family is known for their amazing food so come on down and see for yourself! Please bring your own plate to help us cut down on unneccessary waste.

There will also be a raffle and a silent auction with great prizes like gift baskets and gift certificates. You could also win a season of Bodhichitta Farms vegetables!

There will also be great music and beginner's contra dancing lead by Bill the Dance Caller! Don't worry, anyone can learn and Bill will teach how it's done. It's a form of folk dancing that begins in two lines kind of like square dancing. Later the couples pair off and dance together, then dancers switch partners, and once everyone gets the hang of it, it's a blast. It's also a great way to meet new people. There's no fancy footwork to learn. If you like to play an acoustic instrument bring it along and jam with the band.

There's no entrance fee for this event but there is a suggested donation of $75 per person, $120 for couples. All proceeds will help Bodhichitta Farms CSA fight for the right to grow and sell local produce.
