The Orange Players present the comedy “THE CEMETERY CLUB” on January 25, 26, and February 1 and 2, at the High Plains Community Center (525 Orange Center Road, Orange,CT), 8:00 pm. The show will offer cabaret-style seating so bring your own food and beverage of choice. No set-ups are provided. The doors open at 7:15 pm for your convenience. “The Cemetery Club”, by Ivan Menchell, has been performed at Yale Repertory Theatre, the JFK Center for the Performing Arts, and the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Broadway. Set in Long Island, “The Cemetery Club” is a comedy involving three long time friends who meet monthly for tea prior to visiting their husbands’ graves. Using humor, the play explores with richness of friendship and how sometimes the best of intentions can go awry.
“The Cemetery Club” is directed by Leo Meyer (Orange), who is long time owner of Atlas Scenic Studio, designing and producing sets for many great Broadway shows and touring companies. Assistant director is Pat Miller (Orange), President of The Orange Players. Marianne Miller (Orange) is the producer. Cast includes T.J. Chila (Milford), Dawn Reiss-Mellilo (West Haven), Mallie Massaro (Branford), Paul Templeton(Orange), and Barbara Stolarik (Orange).
