The Longest Night Service
We usually think of Christmas as a Ho, Ho, Ho time of year, but for many, it is anything but jolly. People who are grieving a loved one, dealing with loss or feeling sad or lonely can feel out of step with everyone else’s celebrations and find the holiday season to be one of the most challenging and blue times of year. If you’re feeling less than festive this year, you are invited to join us at Christ Church at 5PM on Sunday Dec 22 for our annual Longest Night Service at the winter solstice to be reminded of God’s loving presence even in times of darkness. Come and take a pause from “Joy to the World” and find the power of God’s presence during a quiet time of prayer and reflection among others.
