Amity High School Student Raises Money for People Who Cancer Patients
Last year the Bethany resident raised $10,000.
Bethany resident and Amity Senior, Hannah Babbitz, has formed a team again this year to participate in the 27th annual St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation, SWIM Across the Sound.
The event raises money to provide cancer services to local patients who are under and non insured.
On August 2nd the team will swim relay style 15.5 miles from Port Jefferson, Long Island to Captains Cove in Bridgeport, Ct. Last year Hannah's team (Team SONOCO) raised $10,000.
