Get Your Tickets For Saturday's Lakeview Lodge Show With Guitar Virtuoso Ian Ethan

The next Lakeview Lodge Music Series show is Saturday 2/4/2012 featuring guitar virtuoso Ian Ethan with Hannah Fair opening the night. Tickets and information at www.lakeviewlodgemusic.org

The Lakeview Lodge is proud to present the next concert in the series featuring guitar virtuoso Ian Ethan with singer/songwriter Hannah Fair opening the night.

Acoustic Double-Neck Guitarist Ian Ethan began a journey into truly uncharted territory when he picked up this seldom-seen 18-string instrument in 2005, two years after leaving the Berklee College of Music.  While most who venture to play the instrument are either baffled by or unaware of the possibilities that it offers (its history seems to peg it as more of a grandiose stage prop than a valid musical tool), for him it is simply "the most effective and intuitive means I've found to translate into sound the things I'm hearing in my head."

Drawing on a diverse musical background that saw him learning piano, drums, saxophone, electric guitar and bass beginning at the age of five, Ian Ethan's strikingly-unconventional, self-invented approach to the double-neck guitar is both magical to hear and mesmerizing to watch. And while his performances are visually intriguing to say the least, it is not showmanship but rather the sincere desire to accurately communicate the harmonically rich, multi-layered music of his composing (or "discovery", as he prefers to refer to the process) that has impelled him every step of the way.

As one listener commented: "Ian's music is phenomenal - watching him play is not 'listening to music'...it's a full mind experience. Transporting."

The music of Hannah Fair is unpolished yet fresh, raw, earthy, and organic, shifting and changing as nature itself, prompting one blogger to write that “The songs are delivered with a confident, relaxed style that often gives them an immediacy that feels like she’s writing the lyrics as she is singing them.”

Hannah will bring you into the New England world she lives in, from the rolling hills and railroad tracks along the Blue Trail in Connecticut, to life on the water and the Rhode Island coastline

It's sure to be a wonderful evening of music with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Bethany Lions Club.

You HAVE to see Ian play. You won't believe your eyes.
He plays both necks of his a double neck acoustic guitar AT THE SAME TIME!
