Valentine's Day for Chocolate Lovers

Break away from standard samplers and explore artisanal, handmade, and delicious chocolate and bring home an extra special Valentine's Day treat.

Valentine's Day is a fabulous time for chocolate lovers. Not only to receive a lovely gift, but to shop for the delectable morsels. If you've wanted to break out of the drugstore, heart-shaped sampler box, then explore the world of chocolate with these local events. There is a chocolate-focused event every weekend before Valentine's Day.

Chocolate World Expo at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk on January 27th from 10 am to 7 pm. Chocolate world Expo is included in the standard aquarium admission.

Vendors will be set up throughout the Aquarium’s galleries. For ready-to-eat treats, Pika’s Farm Table of Troy, N.Y., will be making authentic Belgian-style waffles dipped in a choice of white, dark or milk chocolate. But Chocolate World Expo isn’t entirely about chocolate. Vendors also will present baked goods, specialty foods, gelato and even fine soaps and bath products.

Chocolate Lovers' Expo at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Southbury on February 3rd from 11 am to 3 pm. Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for kids at the door.

Enjoy plenty of chocolate treats & delicious specialty foods. Also, shop from exhibitors offering unique gifts, products, & services. Sample treats, enjoy refreshments, listen to music!

Chocolate Festival at Great Hill United Methodist Church in Seymour on February 10th from 11:30 am until supplies run out for $5 per person.

This one is different. Instead of visiting with vendors who are selling chocolate, for $5 you choose 12 different, handmade chocolate treats to take home.
