Beekeeping and Pollinators at Massaro Community Farm

The next installments of beekeeping and organic land care will take place starting at 10am on Saturday, June 22. This beekeeping session will be offered at 10am, with an overflow session at 12pm (only as needed). This particular workshop will focus on Summer Hive Maintenance. In order to accommodate everyone around the hives, registration is limited and we encourage you to reserve your space by emailing us or calling us at (203) 736-8618. $10/Suggested donation.

Then, at 12pm, Kimberly Stoner and Tracy Zarrillo, of the CT Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven will lead a group around the farm to talk about types and varieties of pollinators, in addition to honey bees, which are so critical to our landscape, including pollination of farm vegetables, cover crops, flowers and more. This workshop is FREE.
