Summer Camp Returns to Massaro Community Farm

Registration is now open for Summer Camp at the Farm, a cooperative offering from Massaro Community Farm and Woodbridge Recreation Department.

Massaro Community Farm will again partner with the Town of Woodbridge Recreation Department to bring you Summer Camp at the Farm. This year’s camp sessions will run 9:00am-12:00 noon during the weeks of August 5th and August 12, with a fee of $130 per camper.

The camp’s focus is based on the mission of Massaro Community Farm: Keep farming; Feed people; Build community. Campers will actively explore the farm’s 57 acres of woods, fields and wetlands, including 7.5 acres of crops in active production.

Campers participate in structured activities that encourage learning about nature, the daily operations of a working organic farm, healthy food and nutrition, and the interconnectedness of all living things.

The farm camp incorporates our walking trail through the woods and wetlands of the farm, our Learning Garden, our honeybee apiary, a resident flock of ducks and chickens and our dairy barn (providing indoor space for rainy days). Each day’s activities will include stories, exploration of the farm and nature trail, natural crafts and a healthy snack.
