Massaro Community Farm Welcomes 5th Season!

Massaro Community Farm is pleased to kick off its fifth season with the clearing of an additional five acres of land. These efforts are being supported by a grant from the State Department of Agriculture. Thanks to the success of farm manager Steve Munno, we will have a presence at the Bethany Farmer’s Market this season, in addition to our ongoing attendance at Westville’s Edgewood Park Farmer’s Market.

Returning this season are the ever-popular Celebrate Spring (May 10), Dinner on the Farm (August 31) and Family Fun Day (October 4). Enrollment is under way for Summer Camp @ the Farm, running from August 11-22.

In addition to more open farm days and cooking demonstrations, you will see our presence in the Lower Naugatuck Valley growing through partnerships with Ansonia Salvation Army, Griffin Hospital, and the work of our FoodCorps service member. Check out the recent article about just one of our recent new school gardens installed at Prendergast Elementary School!
