Obituary: Concetta Antinozzi, 94, of Woodbridge

Concetta J. Antinozzi, age 94, of Woodbridge, peacefully entered into rest on Sunday, August 12, in her home with family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Leonard B. Antinozzi, Sr.. Concetta was born in Naugatuck on September 30, 1917, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Sequenzia, and lived in Woodbridge for over 39 years.

She worked part time with her husband at Daisy Hill Gardens and was a devoted homemaker. Concetta was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Woodbridge and the Woodbridge Senior Center, where she enjoyed crochet and knitting with the Crafts Club. She also enjoyed taking many day and overnight trips with the senior center. She loved cooking for her family and taking care of her grandchildren Catie and Michael.

She is the beloved mother of Leonard B. Antinozzi, Jr. and his wife Ellen “EJ” and their children Catherine and Michael, with whom she resided, and Joseph D. Antinozzi and his wife Ann and their daughter Nikki of Derby. She was predeceased by four brothers, Louis, Crocie, Mario, and Salvatore Sequenzia.

Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby on Monday, (TODAY) from 5 to 7 PM. On Tuesday, friends are invited to meet directly at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peters Cemetery in Derby.
