Richard Robison Knight, 62, Orange, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, May 23, 2013.

Richard was born in New Haven, Conn. on January 9, 1951 to Myrtle (Roby) Knight, and the late Robert A. Knight.

On his return to Connecticut, Richard founded “Knight Productions,” and continued to appear at comedy clubs and corporate functions while he also produced several documentaries.

He directed interviews for Steven Speilberg’s “Shoah,” produced and edited “Around the World in the Concorde,” and, most notably, documented the “Special Olympics World Games,” held in New Haven.

Richard is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Yoshiko, his mother, Myrtle (Roby) Raymond, and his brothers James Knight and William Atherton (Knight).
