Turf Field Vote

Later this month the towns will be asking the voters of Bethany, Woodbridge and Orange to approve the installation of a multi-purpose turf field at the High School.  It will be used by multiple sports, both male and female.  It will allow the band to perform at games, and open many sports up to viewing by parents under the lights.  The cost over the 5 years per family is minimal.  I for one, a former Amity High soccer player rarely had the chance for my father to watch our games.  With daylight savings etc, the games started very early to avoid darkness.  How wonderful would it be to see a girls field hockey game or lacrosse game under the lights on a field that can handle any type of weather mother nature throws at us.  I hope others agree with me.  This field will pay for itself over time, and Amity is a first class High School that deserves first class atheltic facilities too!
