Police Blotter: Jewelry Theft, School Fight

The following arrest information was provided by the Woodbridge Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

A 15-year-old Amity High School student was allegedly arrested on Sept. 19 after punching a student several times in the face. The student’s identity was not disclosed due to their age. The student was referred to the Juvenile Court in New Haven after being charged with third-degree assault.

An Orange man was arrested on Sept. 18 after allegedly stealing jewelry from a Peck Hill Road Home in Woodbridge. Connor Lepensky, 20, of Boston Post Road, was charged with second-degree burglary and first-degree larceny. He was released after posting $25,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 27

A Woodbridge man was arrested on Sept. 19 after allegedly harassing family members. Maurice Simon, 51, of Dogwood Circle, was charged with second-degree harassment and released on $1,000 bond.

The Woodbridge Police Department arrested a Bridgeport man for allegedly trying to cash a fake check at a bank valued at $3,287. Alvin Arnold, 36, was charged with third-degree forgery and third-degree criminal attempt to commit larceny. He was held on $15,000 bond.
