Assault at the High School, Driving Under the Influence

March 30, 11:30 a.m. at Amity Regional High School a 17-year-old male student allegedly assaulted two other students then drove away from the school in his pickup truck. Police went to the student’s home where the truck was parked in the driveway, but were told the suspect was not there. Police contacted the father by phone, who said he would deliver his son to the police station.

On March 31 at 3:15 p.m. the father brought his son to Woodbridge police headquarters where he was arrested and charged with interfering with an officer, failure to appear, and two counts of 3rd degree assault. The father posted his son’s $2,500 bond and he was given an Apr. 11 court date. 

March 31 at 11:46 p.m. police observed a car being driven erratically near Beecher and Rimmon Roads. Gail DelBuono, of Carriage Drive in Bethany, was arrested after failing a field sobriety test and charged with DUI. DelBuono posted a $50 cash bond and was given a court date of Apr. 14.
