Coach in Sex Crime Case Arrested Following Dr. Phil Appearance

The former high school girls basketball coach was convicted in 2004 for having sex with an underage team member.

A former for violating his probation related to a conviction for having sex with an underage team member, made an appearance on the "Dr. Phil" television show this week and was arrested in Westchester County on Wednesday, according to a report in the Westchester Newsday.

Frank Warecke, 46, of Bethany, was found at a family member’s residence in Larchmont, New York, the report states.

He faces a return to prison for the violation. Warecke reportedly cut off his electronic monitoring ankle bracelet in January.

Warecke and his wife appeared on the "Dr. Phil" show on Monday. They were featured in a segment called "My Husband is a Fugitive, but I Love Him," the report states.

Warecke and his wife claimed his innocence on the television program.

"I'm never going to turn myself in, never,” Warecke said to Dr. Phil during the segment, the report states.

The Connecticut probation department's Warrant Fugitive Unit, accompanied by Westchester County police, arrested Warecke on Wednesday after he was located in the attic of a home on Dillon Road Larchmont.
