Disturbance in Bethany Leads to Assault Charge

A 20-year-old resident was arrested following a reported disturbance on Schaffer Road.


A reported disturbance on Schaffer Road led to the arrest of a Bethany resident.

According to Connecticut State Police at Troop I, Maxx Robert Godfrey, 20, of Bethany, was arrested at 12:17 p.m. on Feb. 16 on charges of disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

The arrest stems from a disturbance on Schaffer Road, police said. Investigation revealed that Godfrey had assaulted a 46-year-old individual, according to the report.

Bond was set at $2,500 and Godfrey was scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.
