On Wednesday night, a a driver was hospitalized with serious injuries after their vehicle road off Downs Road and hit a tree. State Police are investigated the reason for the accident, which they said is unknown at the moment.
The accident happened at 8:13 p.m. and the driver was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
