Duo Charged In Bowling Alley Purse-Snatching

The Woodbridge couple was arrested in relation to an incident at Amity Bowl.

Woodbridge Police say a couple was caught on video stealing a pocketbook from a woman while she was in the middle of a game at Amity Bowl.

The couple — Caitlin O'Callahan, 28, and Vincent Rivera, 32, both of 14 Alling Ave. in Woodbridge — was arrested on a charge of sixth-degree larceny on July 20.

Police say officers responded to the 30 Selden St. business at 12:20 a.m. after receiving a report of the theft.

"A review of the establishment’s video surveillance photos revealed that the pocketbook was stolen by O’Callahan and Rivera," the report states."Police responded to their residence and took them both into custody."  

O’Callahan and Rivera were both released on a promise to appear in New Haven Superior Court on July 31.
