Feb. 22 at Amity Regional High School police were summoned by a report of an altercation. Daniel Stearne, 18, of Amity road in Bethany, along with a 16-year old male student from Orange, were involved in a fist fight. According to a witness, Stearne allegedly was the aggressor and provoked the other student into a fight with the standard progression of name calling to shoving to fighting. Stearne was charged with breach of peace and given a court date of Mar. 8; the 16-year old was charged with disorderly conduct and given the same court date. Both were released to the custody of their parents.
