Gold Store Co-Owner Arrested on Gun Charge

Several police departments are investigating Connelly's Gold and Diamond in Woodbridge.

An ongoing investigation into Connelly’s Gold and Diamond Exchange yielded one arrest. John Connelly, 26, of Seymour, Conn. was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Nov. 18.

Connelly, who police say is one of the proprietors of the business on 1663 Litchfield Turnpike, was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in New Haven on Nov. 23.

According to the Woodbridge Police Department, a joint investigation with the police departments in Seymour, Shelton and Branford is being conducted, but the reason for the investigation was not revealed.
