Illegal Withdrawal From Woodbridge Bank

Police say an investigation led to the arrest of a Bridgeport man.


A Woodbridge Police Department investigation into fraudulent transactions at a local bank led to the arrest of a 25-year-old Bridgeport man.

Police said officers arrested the suspect, identified as Xavier Longwa, at 4:30 p.m. on March 26. He was taken into custody at the Bridgeport Correctional Center and charged with third-degree larceny.

According to police, Longwa illegally withdrew in excess of $4,500 from a local bank.

He was released after posting a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on April 12.
