Orange Man Nabbed in Woodbridge for DUI

Woodbridge Police allegedly caught him driving drunk in the early morning hours of Nov. 25.

 

Woodbridge Police arrested an Orange man in the early morning hours of Nov. 25 on drunk driving charges.

Matthew Popp, 24, of 515 Dogwood Rd., Orange, was charged with driving under the influence after police pulled his 1985 Ford pickup truck over at about 2:45 a.m. in the are aof Pease Road and Lisa Lane, according to police.

"Upon conducting an interview and field sobriety testing, [officers] found him to be intoxicated," according to the police report. "Popp was transported to HQ where he failed a breath alcohol test."

Popp was released on a $500 bond and was scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Dec. 7.
